This documentary is a portrait of Kelvin Maher who lives in a boarding house run by Mrs. Wachtal. Mrs W. is a German Jew who escaped the Nazis and came to Australia on the Dunera boat. Kelvin works as a laborer and lives a solitary life yet to it he brings meaning. His is dedicated to street preaching and seeks friendship with people who experienced the war.

Winner of the St. Kilda Film Festival.
